About us

Since 1986 Eglinton (Timber Products) Ltd, an ISO 9001:2015 company has been at the forefront in the production of many types of quality environmentally friendly, wooden products.

Our wooden pallets are supplied to customers from all over the United Kingdom, Ireland and Europe.

Established in 1986, Eglinton (Timber Products) Ltd is now one of Ireland’s premier manufacturers of timber pallets.

The company began with just 4 employees making pallets using conventional nail guns.

Today the company has a workforce of 70 and will produce in excess of 2 million pallets annually.

As with all progressive companies, Eglinton (Timber Products) Ltd have concern for “green” issues and endeavour to use suppliers who help and not hinder the environment.

Investment in training, machinery, haulage, storage and drying facilities will continue, with the aim of producing a quality product at a competitive price.

The future for Eglinton (Timber Products) Ltd is for further expansion, with continued growth on the home market and significant increase in supplies of pallets to the U.K. mainland predicted.

Heat Treatment & Kiln Dried

When exporting wooden pallets, heat treatment to the international ISPM15 standard is legally required to prevent the spread of wood boring insects across borders – a risk to forestry and woodland across the world.

The ISPM15 Standard for Phytosanitary Measures requires that pallets for export are treated to kill any wood borne pests.

Treatment to this standard is required when exporting to most industrial countries including, North America, Canada, Mexico, China, Korea, Australia and New Zealand.

The most widely used method used to comply with ISPM15 is heat treatment. This is achieved by maintaining the constant core temperature of pallets or wood packaging at 56 degrees for a minimum of 30 minutes.

The heat treatment facility can treat pallets, plus a whole range of timber products that require ISPM15 compliance – i.e. crates, wood packaging, boxes – just about anything made of timber.

Branding and Stenciling

We offer a branding service where we burn a company logo onto each individual pallet for identification or advertising. This is done during the manufacturing process with each pallet being branded at the end of the production line using your designed logo.

Stenciling is also available but unlike the Branding process this is done using stencils and paint but is usually just a company name.

Transport Crates and Containers

Commonly used for air-freight as well as road cargo because of their light and strong construction. Typical OSB thickness can range from 6mm to 22mm to meet your specific needs.

Planed timber frames are used to construct the sides and lid to ensure the crates and containers are strong, presentable, printable and reusable. The bases are constructed to suit the container size and weight distribution of the cargo being transported all crates and containers are constructed with forklift runners and bearers.
